The indicator light isn't flashing rapidly, what do I do?

Firstly have you split your Wi-Fi? The contact sensor needs to be connected to a 2.4 Ghz bandwidth of Wi-fi in order to pair.

Next, reset your device. To do this follow the steps below:

1. Take the reset needle out of the packaging

2. Insert the reset needle, into the reset button hole

3. Use the needle to press the reset button, and hold for 5 seconds.

4. When the indicator begins to flash rapidly, let go

That should reset your device.

Can I use my contact sensor to trigger lights?

Yes you can, this can be done through creating an automation.

You would do this by going into the smart section of the app.

Clicking into ‘when device status changes’

Clicking the smart sensor – PIR

Then you ‘run device’

Select the hey smart bulb for example – then turn ON

Can I use my contact sensor as part of an Alexa routine?

Yes you can, you need to enable the hey! app as a skill in your Alexa app then you can use the contact sensor within a routine to trigger other smart devices in a routine.
